Hello friends! I know it’s been such a long time since I’ve written a blog post and I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA for so long. As for a quick update as to what has happened in my life since my last post, I got promoted, dyed/cut my hair, and celebrated my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. 😊 Been pretty busy lately with work and everything but hopefully I can be a little more consistent when it comes to posting on my blog. Let me know in the comments down below what you guys have been up to lately as well!
Anyways, onto the blog post, Benson and I visited High Park together this week to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom for spring. We went on a Wednesday evening around 5pm; the sun was still up and the park was super busy. One thing to note about cherry blossoms is that there’s only a tiny window of opportunity to see them in full bloom before they wilt so we tried our best to make time out of our busy schedules.
How gorgeous are these blossoms! I’m so glad we got a chance to see them. These trees are everywhere around high park and they look amazing. It was super busy when we went. We decided to drive down there and we were lucky because one parking spot opened up just as we arrived, but we had to wait a really long time to enter the parking lot and police were everywhere trying to direct traffic. When we left, two people were actually fighting over our spot so it’s probably best to bike or find another method of transportation.
When we finally parked and settled in, we made our way to the park. Like I mentioned before, it was super crowded, despite arriving in the evening. A lot of people brought their families and were sitting around the trees eating snacks picnic style, reading, chatting, just enjoying the view and the nice weather.
The trees encompassed such a wide area of the park, all the way down to the lake. After a lot of walking and photo taking, Benson and I called it a day and left the park to go home and have dinner. It was a lovely day well spent at the park. 😊
If y’all get the chance to, definitely check out the cherry blossoms before it’s too late! This is definitely something I can see myself looking forward to every spring. I think I’ll make it a tradition to visit and view with my boyfriend every year. Cheers! 😘
